The Alentejo Star Hotel now occupies the former mansion of British administration of the São Domingos mine, the largest in Europe, on the exploitation of pyrite and copper. The unit was recently redecorated in order to accentuate the minimalist style and informal luxury, preserving in the old building their striking architectural features, inspired by local and British post Victorian style.It disposes of 6 superior rooms located in the old Palace (with high ceilings, bath with Jacuzzi and king-size beds). In the new wing of the hotel, there are 25 classic rooms (with balconies overlooking the swimming pool or the river beach).
